Can I purchase duplicate fob replacements from the association.
You will need to check your hoa or condo documents to find an answer to that question. Most association will provide you with a new fob if you lose one at a minimal cost. If you find your lost fob and give it to a non-resident that most likely could be against your association rules.
Why is a Magic E-Dot Different?
Technology has changed. The Magic E-Dot is an electronic fob which you can attach to any device you always have with you, like your smart phone. Your smart phone can act as an electronic key. Technology has moved on, it is more convenient to have a Magic E-Dot open doors you have a legal right to enter.
Is it legal to copy my fob ?
Magic E-Dot is not copying your fob. You are placing the access code on your smart phone making usage more convenient. You still have the fobs which were originally issued to you.
Can you use the numbers on the fob and use those to duplicate it?
We wish it were that easy. The numbers printed on your fob have no bearing on the electronic code it contains. Those are batch numbers and various other identifiers that do not reveal the internal electronic serial number.
How long does it take to clone my fob?
Once we receive your fob, we will return it the same day with a Magic-E Dot that you can place on the back of your smart phone.
Will my assiciation realize I am using a cloned copy?
The associations system cannot tell the difference between your original fob or the The Magic E-Dot .
If my original fob is deactivated will my Magiic E-Dot still work?
No. A Magic E-Dot carries an exact copy of the data on the original fob. If your original fob is deactivated all fobs or copies will stop working.
Magic E-Dot does not guarantee vehicle access to HOA communities . This access is under the control of your HOA board of directors.
